Controls
Sony DSC-S700 camera uses a typical control layout, which is seen in most of the cameras in its class. The mode dial and power switch are on top. On the back you will find a zoom rocker. The zoom rocker is a switch with four controls and an enter key too. The four way switch button is used for various functions such as exposure compensation, flash, macro and self-timer; and image quality/delete, review, display and menu buttons. The buttons may sometimes be hard and flat to push. Thus the zoom rocker gives you access to all the important functions at one go. Simplicity at its best!

2.5 inch LCD screen adorns Sony DSC-S700 camera. But this camera lacks an optical viewfinder. The lens has 3x zoom range. The many options offered in the menu are white balance presets. Evaluating metering is also included in it.

Sony has added a nice touch by adding options such as Flash compensation and Single or Burst shooting options available in the menu itself. The best part about this camera is that it offers ISO sensitivity upto 1000. This means great pictures very time you click!

Performance
Sony DSC-S700 camera performs better than its other counterparts. It takes 2 seconds to capture its first shot. When there are no contrast problems and other difficulties with lighting, it can fire a shot in less than 0.8 seconds. Now that’s performance!
The shutter speed decreases to 1.1 seconds in dim light settings. When you click pictures with flash on, then this fast performer can click two snaps within an interval of 2.5 seconds only.
The picture quality of this sony digital camera is best in its class. It beats its other counterparts on this point. Beyond ISO levels 200, you might get grainy pictures. So its better that you click pictures with lower ISO settings.

Question for the owners of the Sony Cyber-Shot T700 Digital camera?
I want to buy this camera i just love it and it seems very sleek and cool specially with all the features it has but i've been reading some reviews online about this camera and some people have not so nice things to say and others just love it so much so before i buy it i would like to know about the ones that already own it.
