Pate’s Camera Repair Service is owned and operated by Eugene Pate. Gene has been in the repair business since 1973, a member of the Society of Phototechnologists since 1985, and holds a diploma from the National Camera Technical Training Division, graduating with Highest Honors. Gene has attended repair training from major manufacturers such as Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Minolta, Olympus and Pentax as well as organizations such as National Camera, the National Association of Photo Equipment Technicians and the Society of Phototechnoligists.
Originally servicing equipment in Cleveland, Ohio and working as a professional photographer, Gene moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1985 and worked as a repair technician at a Canon and Nikon authorized service shop until 1991 when he founded Pate’s Camera Service. He is now semi-retired and working from his home in Clearwater, Florida
Pate’s Camera Service maintains a high level of skill, an information library dating back to the 1950’s and an inventory of original parts including many hard to find parts for older cameras.
